“Become a peace builder” is the invitation from Amedée Taroh, SJ, President of the Students’ Association at Hekima College, at the end of the 6th Annual Students-Led Conference 2018 on “The Role of Political Leadership in Africa’s Economic Development”. A conference held last Friday on the 2nd campus of Hekima University College (HIPSIR).

According to Amedée Taroh, SJ, the purpose of the conference was to highlight the impact of the political situation of the African continent on its economy. According to the President of Hekima Students Association, “we have a lot to do (politically) in order to boost our economy”. The case of the Central African Republic, raised by Ms. Huguette Kazeneza, one of the panellist, can be cited as an example. The tragic political situation of the country had an impact on the whole sector of economy, he added.
